'Bread and Dementia’ to vie at Sunshine Short Film Festival

Iranian short ‘Bread and Dementia’ is to vie at the 2021 Sunshine Short filmfest in Australia.

Iranian short film ‘Bread and Dementia’ has been selected to compete at the 9th edition of the Sunshine Short Film Festival in Australia.

Directed by Kaveh Azizi, the short flick narrates the story of a little girl named Fereshteh who faces a big challenge in a usual day.

Written by Donya Mohammadpour, the film is Azizi’s third directorial work, which marked its first international presence at the 19th edition of the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival in the US.

The cast of the short film includes Nader Falah, Soha Banoo Zolqadr, Nyousha Alipour, Peyman Moqadami, Nava Yavarian, and Georg Manokian.

The main competition of the Sunshine Short Film Festival will be held online and the winners will be announced on February 25, 2021.

According to the festival’s official website, “Our focus is still and will always be on compelling storytelling through a visual medium. We celebrate the work of professional, accomplished filmmakers just as much as we do those who want to have a go and have something to say to the world”.

The event is slated for February 11-20, 2021.
